Enjoy a Cornish Farm Holiday and the Spectacular North Cornwall Coast

AA Four Star Highly Commended FarmhouseIt is extremely difficult to put into a few words what we mean by “The Lower Tresmorn Experience”. A few anecdotes or comments such as ‘life changing’, ‘the good life’ or ‘a way of life’ do not seem to do justice to what we feel you will experience when you stay at Lower Tresmorn or one of our self catering holiday cottages. Although passionate about what we do here, we feel that it is what you discover and experience for yourself that will make your holiday with us so special.

Although a working farm, our priority is also your complete relaxation and enjoyment. As a Farmhouse guest, you can wake up to a leisurely breakfast expertly cooked using the finest locally sourced ingredients. If you would like a little brisk exercise you can accompany Chris for a short walk when he checks the sheep and South Devon cattle grazing out on the cliff pastures and learn a little of farming life here at Lower Tresmorn. Afterwards embark on an exciting day of exploration or take the day at a gentler pace, leave the car behind and just wander down the lane and along the paths to the beach.

The springtime in Cornwall is very special, the mild climate brings the early wild flowers to the cliffs and visiting wildlife to the shores and estuaries. Combine that with traffic free roads, stunning scenery and good Cornish hospitality and you have the ingredients for a memorable stay. The local walks are a delight whatever the time of year but remember to pack stout boots or wellingtons to enable you to walk when it is wet under foot.

Feel free to wander over the farm and watch the day to day goings on changing with the seasons. Our sheep have their lambs in March and the cows are supposed to have their calves in the spring though in practice this does not always go to plan! Harvesting grass for silage is carried out in late May and early June depending on the weather and the sheep are sheared in the summer.

Genuine warm Cornish hospitality, comfortable accommodation and fabulous food. Lower Tresmorn offers you a Cornish Farm Holiday experience you will always want to remember and return to.

Whatever you decide to do, please do find time for a cool glass of wine and watch the sun disappearing over the sea. You may just feel you are at last ‘at one with the world’.
